Tricia has built a reputation as a hard-working and business-minded attorney in a variety of high-level roles at technology companies of every sort. Most recently, Tricia was the SVP, General Counsel at SugarCRM Inc., a late stage SaaS company providing CRM solutions, where she built a legal department from the ground-up. She was also acting general counsel for software maker Borland, a public company with over 35 subsidiaries in over 25 locations worldwide; she was the first lawyer at an Internet start-up; and she was corporate counsel at Vantive Corporation, one of the original providers of CRM solutions. She gained her practical knowledge of how the law and technology intersect as an associate at the law firm Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison LLP, where she specialized in initial public offerings, private financings, M&A and public company representation. She joined Brobeck after graduating Cum Laude from the Santa Clara University School of Law.
"I’ve worked with Tricia extensively, both as a co-worker when she was General Counsel at SugarCRM and now through GCAssist. Tricia focuses on the relevant business risks and opportunities, and does not get hung up on technicalities, providing a quick and highly effective process for legal review."
